Let Joce show you how to remove the insoles from your old skool Vans.

It's science day over here at Old Bones Labs. Let's see what we can come up with.

My name is Joce. I ride, and I work for Old Bones Therapy. And today, we're gonna put some insoles, in some shoes.

Alright. So today, we are going to work on taking our insoles out of our shoes. There's a lot of people driving by me right now. And they all know who I am LOL. So some shoes actually come with insoles that you can take out like these.

So these have no insoles in them and I just put my insoles straight in, but like with these, these are stuck. They're glued. So my boss was like, hey. You can get those out, but you just gotta use a hair dryer. So you don't really need much to be able to do this.

Really, all you need is a hair dryer. Any hair dryer can do. You'll need some scissors to cut your insoles, obviously, a snack, and then whatever insoles you choose to put in your shoes.

These are the "All Day Foot Insoles" and these are the "Shock Absorbing Impact Insoles" known as the OG's. We've had these on the website for a while.

We don't recommend you putting your insoles on top of your existing insoles. Also for the record, I have not done this yet. So this will be a trial and error for me too. But as I was told, it's super easy. All you have to do is basically heat up the insoles that are already existing in your shoes to pull the glue out, and let's see what happens.

And for this video, we are going to be using the insoles that I've already precut. I followed the directions on the lines that I need for my size shoe, so these are all done. Let's do this.

The glue starts to heat up. It'll start to actually, like, pull off of the shoe, but just keep going till you're happy.

My shoes are thoroughly worn and extremely crusty, so they're really not coming out the nicest. But I am getting the bottom layer which is what I'm looking for because, like I said, you don't really wanna put your insoles on half of another insole that already exists, because your shoe is not gonna fit correctly or it's just gonna be uncomfortable.

Gross. Little by little, it's actually starting to come out. You can see all that blue foam.

Obviously, with newer shoes, this will come out a little bit easier.

Hahaha the neighbors, expect this from me. They don't ask questions anymore. I'm gonna have to sweep the porch though. That's for sure.

So one down, one to go.

Safety first. Love the people staring right now. And then pretending not to look. It's fine ha!

You can look at a kook on her porch trying to figure it out how to take insoles out of her shoes. I'm not upset. This one's putting up a little more of a fight. Since these are older, the glue didn't really wanna come out quite as much. The most important part was that I got the heel out.

The heel is the biggest part. I've managed to get majority of that out. Now we're gonna stuff these babies straight in there.

Nice squishy fit.

Take your insoles out of your shoes before you put the new Old Bones insoles in.

Whether it's the "All Day" insoles or the "OG Shock Absorbing" insoles, they're just not quite gonna fit right if you don't take them out.

Now it's time to clean up.

So just like my team said, this was super easy to do. All you really need is a pair of scissors to cut them at the beginning, a hair dryer, a pair of shoes... crusty, new, doesn't matter. Get those old insoles out and replace them with the new ones.

So I gotta say, this is pretty easy to do.

My team said it was. Didn't know if I believe them or not, so I wanted to try it by myself. That way, I could get you guys the video.

But if you have any questions, give it a try and, hit us here in the comments, and, let us know what you think.
