FAQs
What do compression socks actually do?
They use graduated pressure to improve blood circulation, reduce swelling, and fight muscle fatigue in the legs and feet.
How do I wash these compression socks?
You can machine wash, but it’s recommended to hang dry instead of throwing in your dryer.
How many hours should you wear compression socks?
Most people wear them during activity or long workdays, anywhere from 4-12 hours. They don’t need to be worn all day, every day.
What does graduated compression mean?
It refers to the pressure, or the gentle squeeze, that is exerted by the compression socks. It is "graduated" because the pressure starts most at the ankle, and gradually decreases, the further up the leg you go. The graduation helps push blood back up toward the heart, aiding in circulation.
Can I use my HSA or FSA funds to purchase these?
Yes!
Did you know our compression sleeves and socks are eligible over-the-counter (OTC) items that do not require a prescription for reimbursement with a flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA) or a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA)?
Always check with your plan provider to make sure they allow purchase of FDA approved "Compression Socks".
What is the downside of wearing compression socks?
They can cause discomfort or skin irritation if you wear them too tight or too long without breaks. Proper sizing avoids most issues, though, so get in touch if you need help on that front!
What level of compression socks do I need?
We designed our socks to provide 15-20 mmHg, a medical-grade range for athletes, active workers, and travelers who want support without over-restriction.
How to put on and take off compression stockings?
Turn them inside out to the heel, slide your foot in, then pull the rest up gradually. Removing them works best by peeling from the top down.
How to choose the right compression stockings?
Measure your ankle and calf circumference, then select the size that matches. Our size chart makes it simple, and again, our team can help if you’re unsure - we don’t want you to play the guessing game.
Is there a difference between medical compression socks and regular compression socks?
Definitely. Medical-grade socks (like ours) deliver measured compression levels and targeted support zones, while regular socks are mostly for comfort or style.
