Four Knee Sleeves. Which One Is Yours?
I'm Brandon. I built these. They all start from the same knitted sleeve, and each one adds a different amount of support on top of it. Two minutes here and you'll know exactly which one you want.
I built the sleeve I couldn't find. Brandon, founder, Old Bones Therapy.
They all start from the same sleeve
This is the part most people get wrong when they shop for a knee sleeve. They line up four options and try to work out which one is best. That's not how ours are built. There is one sleeve, the OG, and the other three are that same sleeve with support added on top. So the real question isn't which one is best. It's how much support do you actually need.
Why knitted instead of neoprene
Old-school neoprene braces were basically a wetsuit wrapped around your knee. You sweat harder in them, and once they were wet they slipped. The sleeve slid down, and if you were wearing a pad over the top, the pad slid over the sleeve. Ours are knitted. They breathe, they dry out fast, and the knit has enough texture that a pad sits on it and stays put instead of wobbling side to side.
Not sure how much support you need?
Start with the OG. It's what most people want and it's the one I reach for first. If you already know your knee needs more than compression, whether that's from instability, a heavy day on your feet, or a joint that doesn't like lateral movement, step up to Springs or Hinges. And if sleeves have rolled down on you before because of your thigh, go straight to Big Bones. That's the whole decision.
What every Old Bones knee sleeve does
Whichever one you pick, you're getting the same base layer. Firm, graduated, knitted compression that supports the joint, helps you feel where it is, and keeps you moving. Supportive wear, made for people who actually use their knees.
Graduated Compression
Knitted, not bulky. Supports the joint and helps you feel where it is.
Stays Where You Put It
A lining at the top grips to help keep the sleeve from sliding down mid-session.
Breathes and Dries Fast
Knit beats neoprene on a hot day, and it doesn't stay soaked.
Built to Last
Some riders are still on their original pair years later.
Pick your level of support
Same sleeve underneath, four amounts of support. Measure your thigh at the fullest part rather than going off your pant size, and size up if you're between sizes or have curvier thighs. Not sure? Tap the sizing guide on any card. If the fit is not right, exchanges are always free.
