So far so good. I have an older set that I love even though the reglued silicones came unglued again. The new version seems to be holding up much better. Ive wore them few times now with no issues. My ankles are kinda junk so I wear one on each, I never skate without them. Insoles also. Highly recommended.
Well I followed the measuring instructions and ordered a size Large. When I received them (very fast shipping” they looked great! Well made and durable with padding over both sides of the ankle on the inside. I couldn’t get them pulled up though. So I called customer support and asked if maybe I needed the X large. They said that might work. I have trouble with my hands so it’s probably just me. They offered to exchange them, and sent me a link. It’s kind of thing where you need to print a return label. So my printer isn’t working and I forwarded it to a relative. After a week I decided just to go ahead and order the X Large any way. Still difficult to pull up with my hands, but as soon as I put them on it was like a miracle! I am so grateful I have these Old Bones ankle braces. Thank you so much! ♥️
I’m 50 years with bad everything from being a former pack mule in a parachute (Army grunt). I skated as a kid, boogie boarded and surfed as an adult and now ride a Onewheel. As my body says no but my brain says yes, these ankle sleeves have allowed me to enjoy another board sport. These ankle sleeves with the knee sleeves are awesome! I bought compression ankle sleeves for both ankles, a slip on cooling sleeve and a hat. I Flippin love it all, the hat is super high quality and dope, but it's shallow top to bottom, it didn't fit me like a normal trucker hat. I gave it to a friend. A little sad, but the rest was great. Get you some! 🤟
I broke my ankle feb 2023 had a plate and 12 screws placed. When I started roller skating again my boot would rub on my plate and it was super uncomfortable. I received my compression sleeve in the mail yesterday and immediately went to skate. GAME CHANGER!!!!! Anyone with hardware in the ankle this sleeve is for you! I felt almost no discomfort or rubbing from my boot on my plate. The cushions around the ankle bones are *chefs kiss* 10/10 recommend
This is such a great product I'm so happy with them. I play roller Derby and I broke my left ankle 6 years ago and my right ankle one year ago I have bought so many compression sleeves and braces none have ever really gave me any relief or have seemed to help. I put these on a practice and I noticed a difference in my ankles immediately in the 1st lap I took. I thought it might be too tight of a fit in my skate because of the gel sides but it actually helps it a lot and gives me support where needed especially in my sport and in my skates. I have been recommending this to everyone in my league and other leagues because they are great. I heard about you guys because some of my teammates wear your knee compression sleeves and love them that's why I looked into it. I actually just ordered 2 knee compression sleeves from you guys also they fit great under everyone's knee pads and I'm looking forward to trying those. This thing definitely helps. I shouldn’t be back on my board yet since I broke my foot (fifth metatarsal/jones fractrure) about 4 months ago or something. I wish you guys had an ankle brace with straps and stuff, but like I said earlier, I probably just should take it easy a little longer.

Although ice hockey was my first sports passion, I grew up skateboarding and surfing in New Jersey in the 70s and 80s.
In 1990 I embarked on a career in surf photography that had me traveling the world from San Juan, Puerto Rico and swimming like a banshee with my camera in surf lineups around the world.
To say my ankles took a beating during this time would be an understatement.
In 2013 I returned to mainland USA, and in the absence of any consistent quality surf here in South Florida I again immersed myself in ice hockey after a 27 year absence.
My natural position is goaltender, but I also skate as a defenseman on one of my teams and am a certified Level 3 USA Hockey referee. During the fall, winter, and spring, between playing and officiating, it is not uncommon for me to be on the ice 4-6 days per week.
When I first got back on the ice my ankles caused me a lot of pain and discomfort. I started using ankle braces I bought at Walgreens and they helped considerably, becoming an important part of my equipment bags.
That being said, I still experience discomfort in my ankles at times, particularly when I’m playing goalie which is more demanding of ankles in general.
While I have only used the Old Bones Ankle Compression Sleeves twice so far, once while playing defense and once while refereeing, I have to say that they have performed even better than my Walgreens option.
I hope they will be as effective while playing goal when I get back in the crease next week.

While I know your brand is marketed primarily at older skateboarders and snowboarders, I hope you are also marketing to the general public of sports enthusiasts, and I would encourage you to direct your marketing specifically at hockey players (particularly goalies) and figure skaters. Skating becomes increasingly tough on the ankles as we age, and I have found your compression sleeves to be the best support available so far.

I’m nursing a pretty severe ankle twist due to skating again after 20 years. I haven’t tried this in action yet but just putting it on makes my ankle feel more secure! Excellent construction and compression.
These ankle sleeves really support without constricting. I’m pretty sure all the old bones sleeves do as well and like the other sleeves, there’s padding in the right places here as well. The inner pads cover the ball joint of the ankle on both sides. This is perfect for when I happen to run off and my board decides to bite my ankles. The sleeve also acts as an extra heel pad as well by only being so long as to cover the heel then ending mid-foot. So again, it doesn’t feel constricting. Couldn’t be happier. Well done
This compression sleeve is amazing. Goes on easy and never moves around. The supports on either side are very comfortable and give a nice reinforcement. You can even walk around barefoot and not feel where it stops under your foot, which you can’t do with others I’ve tried. Also, Brandon answered an email within seconds late at night when I had a question. Dude is awesome and makes a great product. The support on the ankle sleeve made me forget about the pain. The sleeve made my ankle feel even better than the other foot. I need to get an ankle sleeve for the other foot.
